As a former MS/HS band geek, the band is definitely rockin this year. Ever since the Marching Band got created, the pep band has stepped their game up. Are these the same kids or different kids from the Marching Band?

 

About half the band is made up of who was there last year, but it seems to have doubled with new students over winter break. So most of the new members were not in marching band during the fall, which could be awesome if they stick around and come back for next football season. The band is also starting to table and work the open houses to drive recruitment, as well as sending out information to high schools across NYS.

The band is a big highlight! When we were playing particularly ugly vs UML the band kept my attention! I think the students ho were new to the experience liked it as well. Question: Was there a battle of the quads this year? I recollect a cheering competition in the past that was fun, but nothing this year (the"this is our house" manufactured AEast thing was not well conceived, implemented or received).

In the past the band has rarely had more than 30 members except during the tournaments. The last few games I think it's been 45-50, more than the marching band had. I know the pep band's had a few non-student volunteers, but it would be nice if the MB grew to at least 60 or 70.

 

The girl on the drum looked like she wanted to double with the dance team.
