Did anyone record it? My DVR cut it off at the end, where I think they were going to announce him as America's star...

 

Also, curious if they will just re-air this segment for tomorrow or if they have anything else planned in the morning edition.

by the way...maybe I am reading this wrong...he kinda announced he was coming back next year. Said he was getting his masters. I know most of us felt he was going to, but it seems like that question was answered.

Hope none of you changed the channel. They just had him on again to end the show and hand off to the next version. He welcomed them back to sportscenter from the break, announced the voting of America's star for tonight, talk about his number of twitter followers and shoot some paper balls into a trash basket!!! So awesome.

Zach Bye posted a vine of it on twitter.

Wait... Did he miss all but the last one... Haha... I can't stop smiling.

 

One of them was like of course it went in... Double high five on set. Crazy...

I just recorded it with my phone and put it on youtube for those who missed it. Missed the beginning where they come from commercial and he announces, "We're back on sportscenter" haha!

Dear God that was amazing. I taped it because I had to finish a few e-mails, and I had an ear to ear smile as I watched it.

Forgetting this moment for a second, these are the type of kids Will Brown has brought to this school, year after year (but for that small window after the second title). It's the reason I hope he is our Coach for a long, long time. Just great kids.

 

And yes, Peter did announce he was coming back, that he wants to play pro-ball, and it sounded like it would be in Europe because of his Dad's UK citizenship (will help him get a UK work-permit, and he could get his EU Passport so he doesn't count as an export).

I also would not be shocked, in the least, if ESPN gave him some sort of internship. Levy (who is a great guy, BTW...I've drank with him a couple of times in Boston) basically said maybe Peter would work at ESPN some day.

 

This exposure is just ridiculous.

Assuming that he comes off the bench again against OU, I cannot wait for what is hopefully a standing ovation. Everyone in the nation will know who Peter is by the time we tip-off on Friday.

This morning Brian Cody and the Fly 92.3 Morning Rush radio show did a piece on Peter, Will and the game. If you don't know Brian Cody is a supporter of Will's and the team and often does the Men's Basketball Golf Fundraiser auction..so he is part of the purple family.

 

Anyways this morning he spoke for about 5-10 mins on how this isn't just a story about Peter and this one shot, how it's a story about the entire UAlbany community, the team, winning and not getting respect in a "Siena" town, the amazing coaching that Will does etc. That this is a story about the last 3 years of a team winning and fighting. It was everything we all say wrapped up into a nice little segment. They kept saying how the school continues to win, has such a great tight knit community who is there to support Peter. And that this is also an amazing give back to the community that supported him. Must say it was such a great commentary piece. I know Brian is a huge supporter of Will's so I know he meant every word he said.

So DP next year on our annual what will our record be..you need a will we be on Sports Center poll...I don't think anyone could have predicted this.

 

How crazy would that poll question have looked in October?
