Duke's women's team has as much size as our men's team lol...

 

We're not playing great so far, but Duke is beatable.. we just need to stop with the shotclock violations.. make sure we get a shot each possession and go N-S vs. E-W

We have open 3s, we should take them. I know we are not a good 3 pt shooting team at all but when they are packing the middle and you are WIDE open you gotta take a shot. Some of them will fall. Better than a shot clock violation.

Why are we not shooting open 3s? Duke is playing a 2-3 zone, and we are getting clean looks but no one is shooting. Do we have an aversion to shooting an open 3?

Duke's backcourt is their weakness, and they have turned the ball over a few times already. Apply some pressure. Also they are packing their zone in on Richards. If we want to compete in this game outside shooting is imperative. Surely we prepared to see a 2-3 zone?

Playing much better.. We're forcing TOs and we seem to be driving much more.. We're a lot quicker than they are, though they have the size advantage. We're rebounding fairly well though.

This team really needs to recruit a sharpshooter for next year. Every team packs the paint against Richards, and the players on the perimeter either do not take the open long-range jumper, or they miss it badly.

 

That said, UA is only down one at halftime because their speed and tenacity is forcing turnovers, so maybe Coach Abe knows more about this basketball thing than me!

Duke has 14 TOs at the half. If it weren't for their sharpshooter, we'd be winning this by by 5-10 points. She's singlehandedly keeping them in the game. We're outscoring them in the paint and outrebounding as well I believe.

According the box score at half time, Duke is outrebounding the Danes 17-15, but UA has gotten three more offensive rebounds to lead in that department 8-5. In any case, contending with Duke's height, it's amazing the discrepancy is only 2.

I have no idea what number of fouls any of the players have. If I load the Gamecast it runs the games audio that I am already listening to, and the announcers refuse to talk fouls.

Check out ESPN, Haggy. It has the box score. By the way, no UA player has more than three fouls now. We have outfouled Duke 12-9, though.
