I live way out of the area most of the year, but in a few minutes I'm heading to the campus. Hope to see the new beautiful scoreboard.

What I hate about SBU-- those club/VIP box suites on the floor. I hate them at Pittsburgh, and I hate them at SBU. I would never want those because I think it takes away from the feel of the arena a

The "Dunk"...I could go for that if SEFCU doesnt rebid or win.

Forgot to post this earlier but the Quinnipiac arena situation is amazing. I guess this is what you can do when you charge $60k a year to attend.

They have not one but two arena in the same building. Basketball arena on the right and hockey arena on the left. Middle area is the lobby/concessions arena and it is all beautiful. The scoreboard in the basketball arena is also awesome.

The hockey is separate from the basketball facility?! Damn

Yes. They are totally separate arenas that are almost identical except that the hockey arena is a bit bigger. You walk into the lobby and directly in front of you is a free standing circular concession stand with registers on all sides. Look to your right and through a bunch of glass doors into the hockey arena and look to your left through a bunch of glass doors into the basketball arena. The bball arena also has bathrooms inside the arena in the corners across from the entry doors. Very easy access. I wish they played there every year because it's close and really nice.

  • 1 year later...

Hahah DP.

Do we know if we are doing away with the corner screens or will those still be there + the scoreboard?
