Yes, they couldn't do it before because the lights took ten minutes to warm up. The new lights are instant-on.

The 2014-15 championship banners are already hanging; for a ceremony they just shined the spotlights on them instead of trying to raise or lower them.

The Doc Sauers 702-win banner is now on the wall above the entry doors, The Julie Forster/Ebone Henry banners are atop the wall on the parking lot side.

I live way out of the area most of the year, but in a few minutes I'm heading to the campus. Hope to see the new beautiful scoreboard.

What I hate about SBU-- those club/VIP box suites on the floor. I hate them at Pittsburgh, and I hate them at SBU. I would never want those because I think it takes away from the feel of the arena a

The "Dunk"...I could go for that if SEFCU doesnt rebid or win.

That's too bad. The banners not dropping at the championship ceremony was a cherished UAlbany tradition.

The dark intro's will give the game a more 'big time' feel for sure. Love that they added that. Can't for the mens home opener!

Watch it be behind me...lol.

Watch it be behind me...lol.

Video screen was up in the SEFCU for tonight's game.

And I believe it was behind Ilko...Haha!

They placed it so Bob could see the replay. That's where the true power is at Sefcu Arena.

Ok...just for clarity, the video screen (like the one used in the AE tourney) was up. The new video board that UA'72 send Benson discussed WAS NOT.

Correct?

I took '72's post to mean that one of the two boards that was up during the AE tourney would be there now on a permanent basis...instead of being rented.
