Liies really only a backup and should not be missed if Russell healthy. Russell was really starting to fogo well before he was injured. Oakes loss could be huge, he and Fields made an excellent one two punch for Lyle's passing. Also, his strength will be missed as Fields and Reh are not big. Also I believe, after Riorden, Oakes has the hardest (fastest) shot on the team.

Like Father, Like Son: Kyle Marr Scores Against Dad's Team

In the fourth quarter — with the sun setting over the bleachers behind them, and the daylong Colleluori Classic event ending in Baltimore — Kyle Marr found himself standing at the midline near the substitution box. His dad saw a familiar lefty attackman being guarded by walk-on defenseman Brendan Chattuck, who made the Great Danes roster this fall.

"Take him," Scott Marr yelled in jest to Chattuck, loud enough so that Kyle Marr could hear him. "Their team's got nothing."

Fallball: Johns Hopkins, Albany, Richmond, Harvard in HEADStrong Series Albany

The Danes won’t be able to replace Lyle Thompson on attack. Still, Albany’s offensive depth is still impressive, and the team knows how to play coach Scott Marr’s system.

Right now, sophomore midfielder Kyle McClancy is running through X on attack, as he was in fall practice, working with Connor Fields, Bennett Drake and Justin Reh. Attackman Seth Oakes, who started last season on the offense, is not with the team this fall, otherwise he would be the logical person playing behind. After a slow start against Richmond, the group connected on several goals with quick time passing to give them the go-ahead.
