I saw those same numbers. I can't imagine that after how UA pasted Hartford this afternoon that we will slip that much against Maine's RPI.

The times union may be too busy covering the joke program cross town, but another media outlet recognizes that Albany has a special player, one of the top in the country.

Maine just won their semifinal 51-48. Stony Brook missed three 3-pointers in the last 18 seconds that would've sent it to overtime.

Wow. My Yahoo Sports app has Bing beating UA 35-17 with 1:21 to go in the first half. Scared me. Logged into ESPN3 and see they have the score backwards. UA up at the half.

 

I know women's ball doesn't have the same fanbase that the men's game does, but wow. Is the game on local radio even? The coverage is real bad.

Not even on student radio WCDB any more. If you can't get ESPN3 or Americaeast.tv, or maybe the opponent's radio webcast, your best bet is probably Live Stats from the school's schedule.

As most of you know I was sports director a while back for WCDB. I'm really angry how the station has pretty much dropped the ball (pun-intended). We broadcasted 13-15 games a year back then. I drove to Binghamton for the conference tourney, broadcasted, drove back to albany for 2 classes and then back to Binghamton for the next tourney game, then drove back to Albany (less than 24 hrs)...AND THAT WAS WHEN THEY WON 8-9 GAMES AT BEST DURING THE SEASON!

 

It really does piss me off, especially WCDB because they could have exclusivity on this. Even worse, the team would take us with them on team bus and get us a room, which we didn't even need to pay for, because they wanted us there.

 

Station is seems more interested in the men's games, which is silly, because it's a last option for most fans (especially now that almost every game is streamed online video wise). That's why when I was there we did maybe 5-6 select men's games and every single home game for women's with select away games (pretty much if it was a bus trip, we did it unless scheduling messed up).

Fudge muffin...I was really hoping they could avoid Maine...a very well coached team.
