Just so it gets mentioned.   Greig Stire went 6-9 from the floor. He led us in points, rebounds, assists and steals.

Game turned on that lucky chuck 3 pointer and Cremo missing the front end of the 1 and 1. Still plenty of time though but hate that!

lucky shot. unreal.

Somehow David and Joe have to get back on track and both have to mature a little , this is their JR year.

Foster and Clark need to buy in and be productive within the scope of the team concept.

It would be great if Conway ( has been sick and in a boot recently) and Anderson (?????) could become serviceable.

I don't get why Cohrain doesn't get any burn, the few times he's gotten in as of late, he's look OK or at least a warm/active body. Andersoon looks like he's put on about 15lb.

That's the thing.

Joe - regressed compared to last year IMO...maybe not in the averages but in general efficiency

David - regressed^2 compared to last year...in every facet of the game

Devonte - was at least serviceable on the offensive side last year, regressed massively, can't hit the ocean

Anderson - I thought he was VERY even keeled and serviceable last year as backup PG...added weight and can't even get in most games

Cochran - Was supposed to be a nice role player...can't even get into games like Anderson

The only people who I'd say 'improved' from last year are Stire and Charles. Those two have been doing great work in the post.

Rest of these guys haven't made any progress, or worse, took a step back.

As Click said, absolutely maddening. Forget game to game, half to half...you get various levels of effort minute to minute.

We're 23 games into the season...we are what we are. Over the last few days I've kind of gotten over it and no longer have any expectations. If we win, great...if we lose, what else is new.

Beg to disagree...Joe has gotten MUCH better.

People fail to remember he wasn't a known three point shooter in H.S.

That part of his game is night and day from the past.

He's tough as nails, makes some unreal moves...kid is a player, pure and simple.

As for Anderson...he is basically a spot up shooter...wasn't a guy known to be a penetrator...and he looks to have put on some weight. Simply put, not good when he's been out on the court.

Not sure what's going on with Devonte...but I think his lack of good shooting this year has affected his overall confidence.

Nichols...is just not playing good basketball right now. Pure and simple. Not sure if his wrist is much worse off than he's letting on and that is affecting his game.

However, It's telling that at the end of the game last night, it was Devonte and Clark bringing the ball up. David needs to get out of his own head...just play basketball...but frankly, he seems like a great person and human being...but currently has a bad basketball attitude. It's evident in the body language...both on court and on the bench.

My two cents of advice if he reads this board: stop complaining to the refs...get more supportive during the game...and just do your thing. You haven't forgotten how to play the game...and you are talented. You're a great person. Just relax and let the game come to you.

That said, my opinion, like all fans, is meaningless to the players...and understandably so.

As for Cochran...I am giving him the benefit of the doubt...not that it means anything, again, because I am a mere fan. But I will say this...I had the same surgery he had and it took me a solid TWO years to feel like I was back to my old self. And that was on only on one hip...not two like he had. It's both physical and mental with that part of the body. I was rocking my snowboard 6 months after surgery...but not without pain, lack of conditioning, and the mental aspect of "I hope I don't re-injure myself". I rehabbed with one of the best trainers in Boston for a solid year and half...3-4 days a week. Hips aren't easy to work back into shape. It affects the back, the quads, the hamstrings, the calves, etc.

Add in that he was a JUCO...and we know it always takes JUCO's some time to adjust to the D-1 game...and he's basically been out of hoops for two years...so 'm giving him a pass. Next year is his year to show what he can bring to the program.

I agree with +95% of what people have been saying here {not that my agreeing or what everyone is saying mean a thing.} I would like to give Joe & David some degree of leeway on their complaining to refs. They simply [especially Joe] get beat up constantly. They get held, shoved, hip bumped and hacked to death when they drive. I've seen time and again their arms swatted on a drive attempt and no call made. Yesterday Charles blocked a shot and his hand grazed the opponents arm having really no effect on the outcome of the play, a two shot foul was awarded. Yet Joe and David pretty much have be be mauled to get a call. I would guess the number of foul shots we have taken are ½ of what they were occ. I do not think the AmEast is better defensively or less foul prone than our occ competition. In fact the AmEast is and has been since we've joined, a league predominantly of "hacks." Great athletes do not come to the AmEast. What some of you call UA being "soft"; I call UA trying to play basketball while most of the rest of the league plays football.

Now, I do wish David & Joe would not complain as much; but if you are an athlete trying to play a skills game while your competition is trying to play a brute force game, I can understand their frustrations.

Watch the ESPN3 replay of the game. Fast forward to the second half and look at the fouls with 5:50 left and with 2:30 left those are the first 2 examples I can think of...

I love where we are now as a program:

14-7 and that's disappointing/dismal (I think we all agree)

In Brown's 1st 4 seasons we never got to 14! but we were excited with every win!

01/02 7-13 (partial year for CB)

02/03 7-21

03/04 5-23

04/05 13-15

It's great that we are down in the dumps at 14-7 it's a sign that we have arrived as a good Mid Major, now let's get better this Year!

Above is the story of the medical situation from last night's game. The guy went into cardiac arrest and survived

Glad to hear he's doing well. In an odd way, it's probably a good place for it to happen if it had to with all the medical staff around.

Gotta wonder if red-shirting Healey was a mistake or the right move...in light of what's happening not just on the bench bench but also our starting PG position.

I've wondered that sometimes also although it's easy in hindsight. Watching Clark early in the year it seemed like we had some extra support in the backcourt and wouldn't need Healy this year. Hopefully in a few years when Healy, Hank and Lulka are redshirt seniors leading us into the sweet 16 we'll see the wisdom of this move.

Wow. Good for him! Way to go to those doctors in the stands and on the bench.

Could always be worse, could be LCC, losing to everyone...projected now to finish with 8 or 9 wins all season, currently dead last in the MAAC. Patsos burning that program down to the ground after Mitch...lol
