Excellent pre-game research by the ACC announcers, lost count on how many times they mentioned the following:

TD only won 6 face offs last year -- FRESHMAN, 1st College game, vs. seasoned upperclassmen, in carrier dome!!

Albany is 1 and 15 against cuse -- every game @ carrier dome, UA 18th D1 season, how many close or OT games?, frequently UA's 1st game of season

Cuse's 3 goals - 1min Man Up; 2 goals resulted from unsettled/fast break after terrible bad pass ground balls

You talk about a statement game. I mean my gosh.

1 for 5? Boy, this team better work on their man-up offense.   Nice move by ESPN not having a boring game like this on a national network

Right on. It needs to be a home and home series from now on.

Of course they were homers

Syracuse has a longer history with Hobart but they play out in Geneva in front of a small crowd. They can sure come to Albany. It’s all a matter of timing because their Hobart game is typically in April and we won’t get them to leVe the wRm confines of the Dome in February.

Looking at their forum pre game comments no one expected to get blown out, but they were realistic in thinking they were dogs for this game and could easily lose it.

It does get better for sure. It will be interesting to see game two. The forecast doesn't look horrible so could be a fun one.

This is going to sound crazy after scoring 15 against one of the better defensive groups in college lacrosse, but the settled offense wasn't great. I think 4 of Nanticoke's goals were unassisted, and on of Connor's. Man-up wasn't very good either. Imagine what happens when the ball starts humming around and man-up starts clicking?

There is still a lot of upside with the offense and if the defense stays on this kind of trajectory, watch out.
