They did a few times (or at an earlier hour the next day) but if wasn't well attended or very exciting

Got an email about picking up tickets "event." No details and nothing said about the purple gold scrimmage. Anyone got a date for the scrimmage???

 

"Sunday, October 21  will be your first chance to pick up your men’s and women’s basketball season tickets. Get your first look at the 2018-19 Great Dane men’s and women’s teams at 3pm in the SEFCU Arena!  Click here to RSVP."

I had a conversation with the Athletic department a month or so ago, and it was mentioned that they will be doing the normal season ticket holder meet and greet a little different this year. Not much more info other than there will be some activities in addition to the normal snacks and speeches. 

 

Not sure if this replaces the purple and gold game, but I hope not, unless it will be both the same date.

That is odd. Originally Oneonta had been our opener on November 6th.
