Game #13: 11/30/19 - 1:00PM vs Central Connecticut [FCS Playoffs Round 1]

I know it doesn’t make a big difference in a game between two good teams in a win or go home game....but I did some numbers...

CCSU has had 11 victories against teams (including two first year D1 programs) with a current Sagarin average of 231. UA has 8 victories against teams with an average Sagarin of 179. Their best win was RMU at 195, while ours was 130, and we had 6 under their best. So maybe that was the cause of their perceived lack of respect.

Our players feel the same way as CCU.  See the TU article above.

BTW.  Eastern Michigan lost to Central Michigan  42-16. Central Connecticut lost to Eastern Michigan 34-29 at the very end of the game.

Eastern Michigan ended up 6-6

We lost to Central Michigan 38-21 They ended up 7-4

All of this means little however, we have to play well to win

We may actually have an edge in the kicking game. CCSU is only 7-18 on FGs, Burns is 10-15. Burns is 8-8 inside 30 yards and 2-3 outside 40, but 0-4 between 30 and 40. They're 50-53 on extra points, Burns 44-49

Still plenty of good seats available.

I do not understand local attendance..  Albany Empire averaged around 10,000 per game.

Empire was indoors and downtown. This is outside and in basically Guilderland. Not sure we can make a good comparison there.

I'd love to attend, but I've been battling respiratory illnesses for much of the last 6 weeks and sitting in the cold for 3+ hours is just stupid for me (IMHO). Nothing serious, just not something I want to turn into something worse. Go Danes!
