Eli - thanks for the chart.  Not related to the topic but we give up too many sacks (and we throw too many interceptions).   Just points out that we need to improve the offensive line.

As you say much of that was not his fault.  O Line gave up too many sacks and Jeff was pressured a LOT.  So why hold it against him?

And no interceptions and 800 rushing yards and 11 rushing TDs.   It's not apples to apples.

The point is to get ball down the field... Rushing or throwing is immaterial IMO. Even if you add in his rushing yards cuff still put gained him and put up more tds. Jeff had 10 int not 30.

Not buying it... Monmouth kid had 9 and and double digit less tds. Cuff got screwed...

Now this is more like it...

UAlbany wide receiver Juwan Green made first-team Associated Press FCS All-America. Great Danes defensive end Eli Mencer made the second team.

Have either Mencer or Green been invited to any post-season all-star games?  I have to imagine at least Green has a good shot of getting an NFL sniff.  He's great at contested balls which is a huge thing in the NFL these days, plus he's got decent speed.  Mencer's size might be a concern, but he's tenacious.

I know scouts were sniffing around earlier in the season.

CAA 1st Team Karl Mofor, Juwan Green, Eli Mencer
2nd Team Levi Metheny
3rd Team none

Special teams none
Freshman Jeff Undercuffler
Coach Gattuso

that's it

Out of 84 position players on three teams (11 Offense, 11 Defense, 6 Special teams), the second-place team gets only four

Trey Lance, NDSU, was honored with the 2019 Walter Payton Award at the Stats Perform FCS Awards Banquet on Friday night. The redshirt signal-caller became the first freshman to be named national offensive player of the year.  Runner-up was Northern Arizona quarterback Case Cookus, and Monmouth running back Pete Guerriero and Sacramento State quarterback Kevin Thomson tied for third in the voting.

Don't care what anyone says. JUC did more with less and had a far greater impact on offense.
