Why don’t we just stop speculating? A PERSONAL matter means it’s PERSONAL and not public. It’s one more body that can’t play...add to the list.

Frusico in the 1st half!!  Thought I would only see that on Senior night.  Good move CB.  Several assists, no TO's.  Ckark with 2 fouls, Healy is banged up.

Mr. de Sousa, outstanding game guarding Sessoms and running the point for most of 2nd half!  But bro, 1 of 7 from the line? Does Bassett work with guys anymore?

However, Will said it had nothing to do with academics, nor nothing to do with basketball, that it was a personal matter. (??)

I can't seem to get back into the article  that 1st mentioned the quotes from CB about Doherty but he also did say that it was a personal family matter.  Hope it's not a serious illness of a family member for example but that could explain why the young man needs to focus on other things than basketball.

I agree, nysteve, and sincerely hope it’s not a family member or personal illness. Here’s  a link to the article by Pete D., in the TU — Will’s quote is right at the end of the article.

No reason to speculate. Just realize that if he had to leave school for a personal or family reason, I think he has to be removed from the roster. Hooley stayed on the roster because he was still enrolled at the school and from what I heard was still doing school work during his absence (hearsay).

He may still be part of the team, but not an official student at the University. We won't know more until the team says more.

I have been excited to see him reach his potential in purple and gold. Time will tell.
