OMG, the team finally got over the hump and won a close one. Amazing coaching job. So proud of everything they have accomplished despite the shortfalls of the players that normally screw up every week. The coaches found a way to pull us through. Definitely time for a 5 year extension for our leadership. They deserve it. This was the exciting turn around moment we have been waiting for!

The team has now matched the win total of the last two seasons combined and still has a game left. That's major improvement! They deserve another extension!

I think you need to use the "/s" sarcasm notification

Attendance was listed as 2301, for a season average of 5240. After drawing over 21000 for the first three games, only 4700 saw the last two.

I've said this before...the CD would support a winning program.  We should be averaging 7500 regularly...and that is 100-150k payday for the school each game.

Fire coaching staff win or lose this last game...ENOUGH!

Would that redeem Benson/others in the AD in anyones eyes? Would it buy them a longer leash? Curious on the communities sentiments. I've stated publicly and to the GDAC folks that I won't support FB until such time as Gattuso AND Benson are gone, but I may be talked off the ledge regarding Benson (although he's had probably a dozen screwups that have ultimately hurt the program IMO). Definitely will not budge on Gattuso. He needs to be gone before the day turns to Sunday this weekend.

FIRE THEM BOTH. Not going to happen though. Rodriquez has enough other problems--enrollment, budget and program cuts, NANO {seems this is dead or on the back-back burner??}, academic standing and ratings, etc. No one in control of athletics except Benson himself? Only hope, he fires Gattuso to silence critics, so he can keep his fiefdom relatively peaceful. However doubt he will fire Benson even with all the critics; he doesn't seem to care what other's say or think. Attendance down across all sports, performances down across all/most sports, assuming donations from small to medium donors [the regular blue collar guy/fan/supporters of this blog who love UA sports and gives what he/she can] DOWN. The only up or + in his box, is he seems to have a pipeline of large pocket donors/advertisers?

Can confirm. I used to pay for FB (~$110), MBB (~$150) and $150 or so for GDAC. That's $410 just for seats/GDAC. I used to spend probably another $350-400 in concessions over the course of an FB and MBB season. That's $760/yr total for everything. Obviously with my move south that would have dropped off anyway (concessions), but my point is that my $760/yr contribution to UA is now like $150 or so STRICTLY because of how bad the program is doing. Multiply me x 1,000 other people? That's ~$610k/yr you're losing (most likely more). That's only including 'single season ticket' folks like me (my wife didn't want to go to games lol). Imagine that number including people who have 3, 4, 5 tickets? That HAS to hurt. And it won't be fixed until some serious changes happen in the Athletic Department - first one should be the firing of the loser that is named Greg Gattuso.

** Note: I'm no math major so...lol **

In light of the lawsuit against Killings, Benson and the University, no one in a leadership will have the time and stomach to address the football coach issue.  This time next year we will likely repeating ourselves/
