Bing 2/11

Typical for this season, play a somewhat decent game and still find a way to lose.  DK another odd move, UA with ball, tie game and 17 sec left in regulation AND a TO in pocket.  Doesn't call it and we get a stumbling Reddish shot at buzzer, not even close.  Then BU blitz us in OT.

I have not posted a lot because I don't want to get banned. But wow. I can't believe this man is a head coach.

3 minutes left: hold the ball and throw up a wild 3 pointer at the end of the shot clock .

Next possession, 2 minutes left : shot clock violation

Last 2 possessions in regulation: a turnover and a shot that does not hit the rim.

That's absolutely pathetic.  That's all coaching.  Coach Killings is absolutely trash and the only reason he was not fired is because the color of his skin. Bottom line.

Agree why no time out? So if you are not calling time out, let your best ball handler; and a lot to ask of Jackson, but he should have never given up the ball—dribble around & take it to the hoop. You are going to make it, get fouled, get it blocked or just plain miss; 1-10, what do you got to lose. Drumgole & Reddish get stripped of the ball on drives what 50% of the time. Jackson should have taken the final shot himself & not tried to pass off IMHO. Anyhow, meaningless loss, going no-where, no talent team, who cares.

I don't like to say nice things about Bing but Sanders has done a nice job. They've beaten us 3 of the last 4 and might end up in 2nd by the end of the day.

Pretty clear contrast of two programs that made coaching changes last year and are now headed in different directions.

They used the timeout after the first made free throw.  There was no need for another time out . A good coach would have had a play called during that time out.  Of course Killings is a terrible coach and therefore no play was called.

Not disputing you on Sanders, don’t know enough/anything about him; and beating UA 3 of 4 is no great testament. Maybe he is a great coach or maybe like a lot of what is going on these days, he just hit the “lottery portal” better than UA???

Even with some odd decisions by DK, it is on the players to get blown out 17 to 3 in OT.  That is on them.  Mentally and physically they were on the bus after regulation.  Of course we can circle back to the coaching staff for not keeping the team up for the OT session.  Four games left of this debacle.

Whoa whoa whoa. Nobody said anything about "great." :)

I'm just saying, if you compare where Bing has been the last decade or so, he's done a decent job recruiting and coaching to a place that has seen a lot of losing in the past.

Once again a major dry spell offensively.    This time when it really mattered.  6 points in the last 8:29 of basketball.  Missed shots.  Turnovers.  Shot clock.  For a stretch I thought they were playing like they were up by 15.  How many times were we up against the shot clock late in the game?

And whatever that last play was it was awful.
