You can go to 24 teams, give the top 8 byes. That adds an extra week. NCAA wants to keep the Memorial Day weekend the Final Four so would have to start the season a week earlier to start conference tourneys a week earlier. Can Northeast teams start even earlier than they have with winter weather? Don't see it without cancellations. Alternative is start as usual but play two regular season games in a week a couple times more to make it up.

The new business building, well not new anymore I suppose lol, is beautiful. Loved my classes there
I laugh at these new things at UA. My time there was no Broadview Arena, just University Gym, no Casey Stadium, just University Field, no business building, just Collins Circle, no science library, just a big lawn for Mayfest. Must be nice to have these upgrades over the past 40+ years.

12-11 Bing. Questionable non call on our goalie with under a minute to go, me thinks. Cost us a possible last possession. Tough loss after that great start.
Yeah, saw that. But can't go 20 minutes of game time without scoring. Also the ladies constantly shot high on the goalkeeper and missed over the bar every time. If Pasquale payed, we win this game. Lower body injury that said.

Our ladies up 8-7 at the half, after a great 5-0 start. All momentum right now with Binghamton.
And their mojo is continuing. UA ladies with some TOs. Bing 0-25 vs UA. Not the game to let them get to 1-25. Katie Pascale not playing isn't helping the offense.

Sunday night at 9:30pm on ESPN2, selection show. IL has UA vs Sacred Heart in PIG. Winner gets #1 Notre Dame. Don't think we can avoid the PIG. Only one win in OOC, Hobart. AE not highly ranked all season.
-
Not looking good so far, down 6-3. Counted at least 10 bad passes by UA so far. You would think by this time of year that passing amongst yourselves should be crisp and accurate.
Ok, tightened things up and tied up at half, nice finish.

Nice win and back where UA Lax belongs, AE #1 seed and regular season champs. Merrimack on Thursday. Of note, the Merrimack coach resigned today after 17 seasons and will not coach Thursday's game. Fall out from the racist incident in last game they played.

Jared Verse went 19th in 1st round to LA Rams. Got a few Albany mentions from the analysts too.

Did you mean Yog-Yurt and have it shaped like a cloth hut?
Also, excited to see how the turf looks with the new logos etc. It looked weird playing on turf with the old branding
What if they do a purplle field with gold endzones..
Purple field, hmmm. That would rank up there with Boise St and Coastal Carolina for boldest fields in the country.

Not a TAX expert; but DOUBT highly whether a NIL is tax deductible. Your GDAC seat requirement is NOT, why would a NIL be?
Someone on this blog must be a tax lawyer or investment expert. Thoughts/opinions??
For what it worth IMHO, I rather build with freshman. And would be 100% against UA participating in a NIL. I'm sure I am in a minority. Rather support DII or lll if it comes to that. You all can have the portal and professional paid athletes; give me Doc Sauers and kids who loved to play and appreciated a chance to earn a degree.
It is taxable:
Generally, any money, goods, property, or services received from NIL activities are all considered forms of taxable income. Student-athletes should be mindful that NIL agreement income (including non-cash benefits or compensation) is reportable and is considered taxable income.

Don't know why I check on the baseball team, blown out in all 3 games this weekend vs Bryant. In the 3 games, 11 errors and 16 walks. Getting embarrassed every time out. Not playing D1 quality ball and how do you recruit the next generation with the terrible results and throw in the absolutely disgusting weather in Albany you guys who are local tell us about every Spring.
-
Gave this one away, unforced errors especially by Whitney with under a minute to play, panicked and threw it OB.
-
Watched last 10 minutes, easily could have given this game away. That Palumb drive to net with 10 seconds left is what a Thompson or Fields would have done, no pussyfooting around trying a pass, put your head down and head straight for net. Game over.

Margoupis & Adan are "something" to build with🤔. In 2- 3 years might be a team again??
Anyhow, Marshall & Thomas not officially gone yet😱.
With pretty much every mid/low major team in the county having ½ or more of their rosters on the portal; might be easier to find a team to swap entire line-ups with [JOKE🤣.]
One team not to switch rosters with is LCC 😂😂😂

Amica is not a game changer for us - guy couldn't stay on the court unfortunately. While he did play 19 games this year, before that he had only played 10 games in 2 years. 1.4ppg is going to be easy to replace.
Shame we never saw what I saw on his high school film when he signed with UA. Thought he would be a Mike Black/ DJ Evans type of PG for four years. Injuries causing no playing time and no practice time to keep pace as a D1 player doomed him.

Hey DK, I know it's your program now, but maybe you can learn something from our previous coach:
Saint Rose womens also capped the year ranked first in the country in defensive points allowed per game, defensive field goal percentage, and defensive three-point field goal percentage.
-
So your saying on April 2nd, one of these teams will get their first win of the season, lol? Or maybe they both somehow lose the game 🤣🤣🤣?

... and by the way, the America East MBB Championship game is at 11:00 AM, today from Burlington, VT
Yawn, UVM wins again and goes to the NCAA tourney. The fans and alumni must get really bored of this. Wouldn't they prefer 8 straight years of not winning the AE 🤣🤣?

Getting worse. Lost to Georgetown 17-3, not exactly an LSU or Vandy. Our starter went 2 inn and gave up 13 runs, 8 walks in the game. Should UA consider dropping the sport someday and just have a club team? Certainly not a money maker and between facilities and weather, surely not getting D1 talent to come to UA.

To make matters worse as we are even below mediocrity, the Brook, 2nd year in the CAA and a 7 seed, just beat Hofstra in the semis to reach the the championship game vs Charleston. Only goods news? We are not the worst SUNY University Center. Buffalo finished 4 and 27. Thanks Bulls for keeping UA out of the crapper 😲.
