UAlbany men's basketball outlook

11/4/2005 6:08 PM

By: Capital News 9 web staff

There are great expectations for the University at Albany men's basketball team this season. The Great Danes were picked to win the America East Conference. And for the first time in a long time, the Danes actually have depth.

Head coach Will Brown said, "We're in a situation that we feel that once Brian Lillis is healthy, we have six perimeter guys that can start on any given night, and we have depth up front. So we are excited about the depth of this basketball team. It's something that we haven't experienced since I've been here."

UAlbany opens their season on November 9-10 at the 2K Sports College Hoops Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer in Gainesville, Florida. The Great Danes will face Scared Heart on Monday, November 21 at 7 p.m.
