Sounds like SUNY Buffalo may take a hit to their UB 2020 plan? They were asking for $300M. Man, UB is out of control.

The $300 million IS NOT connected to UB. It was requested to fund the fourth phase of the Joint Schools Construction Project for Buffalo Public Schools' facilities reconstruction, which has been ongoing for a few years now. The projected $1 Billion project has thus far transformed many buildings from artifacts of the turn of the century into modern spaces for learning (the cost is so high because the plan effects every school in the district, with many schools closing.

UB has taken the first steps in painful cutbacks that will soon hit all of SUNY, with a hiring freeze and restrictions on purchases over the next 45 days. So far we don't know how this effects UB2020 funding initiatives in the long run, and, hell, the Physical Plan has not yet been completed. So it's best to wait and see.
