UALBANY’S JENNIFER AUBIN NAMED ECAC DIVISION I FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Centerville, Mass. – University at Albany’s Jennifer Aubin was named the ECAC Division I Women’s Field Athlete of the Week in indoor track and field as announced on Tuesday, Feb. 24 by the conference office.

Aubin, a native of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., broke her own school mark in winning the triple jump with a leap of 40-feet, 1.75-inches at the America East Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships on February 21. She also finished fourth in the long jump with a distance of 17-feet, 7-inches in helping her team to its best-ever finish at the championships. The Great Danes placed second in the team standings.

This is the second time this season that Aubin has eclipsed the record. She set the previous mark in 2003. The senior will be competing at the ECAC Championships held in Boston, Massachusetts at the Reggie Lewis Center on March 6-7.
