Having watched Norte Dame MLAX now for 6 quarters, our team losing 14-9 was not bad at all….not bad at all.

That good? He had 2 D1 scholarships, all offered last week. This team on paper will not win 10 games.
Once he gets coached up by the Wizard of Westmere he should do fine…..
(and I know that technically Broadview is not in Westmere, but it sounds better than Western Avenue which is now Bob Ford Way anyway. Only old timers will get the wizard reference….)
So we still need a big and a 1.

6-8 wing from Turkey. Or 6-7….one site has him as one of the top rated prep school prospects out of New England. We shall see…if he’s that good it’ll be a one and done anyway.

I have to say that I check this forum pretty much daily, checked the football news section regularly….nothing, nada. If they wanted anyone to know about it they did a $ienay job of it.

Yes. It was published all over with all the dates for practices. The game was in April
Huh. Ok, thanks.

I don’t want to start a whole separate thread on this….was there a spring football game this year? If not, why not? I don’t recall seeing anything…..

I don’t know that anyone has mentioned this, but SDSU had two players drafted and 6 signed UDFA contracts. Two players drafted…the same as 9 P5 schools.

I couldn’t agree with this article more. And soon Richmond will be gone. The CAA has become a shadow of what it once was. And no current team has shown the ability to compete with the Dakota and Montana teams.

Overall, I was very pleased with the performance. Let’s remember that this was against the top ranked team in the country. I’d expected 22-5 or so…this was a strong team effort in my estimation.

A very nice workmanlike win tonight. 🚂

Decent first half SHU isn’t a pushover

That Hogg goal should have counted, went in before he stepped in the crease. The announcers kept mentioning challenges but I thought only the NCAA tournament will have replays outside of the two or three conferences that had it for the full season.
I agree. On the other hand, the one earlier in the game probably should have been disallowed, so it was a wash.

Cardiac kids at the end, but holy cow that was a fun game to watch. Does Jake have a little brother??

Oregon State are the Beavers, OU are the Ducks
True dat! I missed the “State”. ☺️

McGee looks like a real fine addition, but he’s somewhat of an enigma. Highly regarded out of HS, nice start with the Ducks, went to Jackson St and put up pretty ordinary stats. Was there injury issues? Lack of passing O? Seems like he should do very well at our level and he’s a dangerous running back as well as quality receiver. What’s your take HOF?

I have to say that what impresses me most is the fact that it’s Frosh and Soph players that carried the team offensively. If they can keep them all, this crew could be a runaway locomotive in a year or too. And a freshman goalie on top of that.

Brevin Easton to the Chargers and Julian Hicks to the Packers - UDFA
Easton went to the Jaguars according to what I’m seeing.

Dry in the TV room. And the Scotch is relatively cheap.

After the year that he had, starting 18 games, over 22 mpg, great shooting percentage, hustling on D….if he wasn’t offered a scholarship it’s one more thing that reflects very badly on DK imho.

I think any team at our level would be pleased with MJ on their roster. Good kid, tough defender, tireless motor….sorry to see him go….especially to THAT team.

Kind of. Yeah, sure. I also remember a guy named “Spud” I think. Looked like he stepped out of central casting for a tough as nails WW2 type…t shirt, grey crew cut. My memory could be bad…it was the early 70s after all. I don’t recall him at games, but was def the go to guy for university issued stuff.
