I have learned that Oliva K. Jarem has passed away on June 19, 2024, at age 36. She was a member of the UAlbany WLAX in her junior and senior years previously playing at UC-Davis. She was a UAlbany Presidential Scholar and America East Scholar Athlete of the Year winner. She was from Clifton Park, NY and a Shenendehowa High graduate. 

 Truly heartbreaking as I have daughter similar age and a Shen grad.

My thoughts and prayers to her family, her former teammates at UAlbany, Shen WLAX and her students at Gowana Middle School in the Shenendehowa School District. 

A date for a remembrance service will be announced at a later date.
