Questions for Fido

Fido,

You seem to know quite a bit about volleyball - I obviously don't so I thought I'd ask you a few questions.

 

1. I would imagine UA would be very good next year as most of the players return, can they repeat?

2. What happened in New Haven? Was it just the crowd that was unnerving? Did they compete and just get beat by a better team?

3. Why do you think players from Indiana, California... would come to UA when the team wasn't very good, the facilities aren't real good, not a lot of fan support... Is Sheffield just a great recruiter?

Answers to your questions....

 

1. Yes...most definately they can repeat. Look what they are bringing in next year to add to this team.

 

2. Crowd at Yale was unruly, rude, obnoxious. And it helped their team. On a neutral court, it may have been a different outcome. Maybe not. On that particular night, Yale did little wrong, and Albany did not play as well as they could have.

 

3. This is a no-brainer. Why do you think these athletes come here? Sheffield is not only a great recruiter, but obviously he brings out the best in these athletes once he gets them here. The question should be....are we going to be able to keep him?????
