AE Conference Championships

Recommended Posts

I saw on the AE website that the conference has made some changes regarding post season tournaments in several sports. The one that caught my eye were lacrosse, softball and baseball.

In lacrosse, both mens and womens, the entire tourney will be played at the home field of the #1 seed. Personally, i think this is a bad change as it deprives the fans of the #2 seed of getting a home game, and if the #1 seed loses in the semis, it insures a lesser attendance for the championship.

In softball, the tourney will be played at the home field of the #1 seed as opposed to a pre-determined site. This seems to be a good change.

In baseball, the tourney will be played at the home field of the highest seed that has lights. Maybe this will be an impetus for us to install lights.
