"Stony Brook’s Mykeema Ford (Trenton, N.J./Cheshire Academy) has been named America East Player of the Week for week 16, while Albany’s Charity Iromuanya (Lincoln, Neb./Lincoln Northeast) wins her first-ever America East Rookie of the Week award. The awards were announced Monday (February 26). . . .

 

"Iromuanya did it all in a seven-point win over New Hampshire as she netted a career-high 17 points on 5-of-9 shooting and added six assists, five steals, four rebounds and a blocked shot. She is the second Great Dane to win this award this season, Britney McGee (Bakersfield, Calif./West) won back in week one of the season."

 

Great to see a Lady Dane pick up the award this week.
