Frank Resetarits, Albany, Sr., Attack

Resetarits proved that he is more than just a goal-scorer over the past week, dishing out eight assists in back-to-back wins over Hartford and Colgate, including a one-goal, five-assist performance against the Red Raiders. On the season, the senior has showed nice balance with 17 goals and 13 assists for a team-high 30 points in leading the Danes to the best start in program history.

Merrick Thomson, Albany, Sr., Attack

There's a Thompson out this week (UVa.'s Drew Thompson), and a Thomson to take his place. That's what back-to-back performances of four goals, one assist and five goals will get you. For those NBA fans out there, Thomson was the Karl Malone to Resetarits's John Stockton over the past week, assuming the role of the go-to scorer for head coach Scott Marr and company. The collective brilliance of the two this season may wind up hurting their individual Tewaaraton chances, but I'm sure a chance to play on Memorial Day weekend would be a nice substitute.

The Great Danes, who continue to amaze with a perfect 8-0 record, have only played one game since last Wednesday, a 13-9 victory over UMBC. And who was at the top of the scoring column once again? Resetarits. The senior led the team with a hat trick to go along with a helper, bringing his season totals to 20 goals and 14 assists.

Thomson was overshadowed by linemate Resetarits in the win against UMBC, but still put up a respectable two goals to bring his season total to 20. To remain in the running, however, Thomson, who's more of a pure finisher, will have to outshine his fellow senior in the goals column, where the two are currently even right now
