For reference: the home side, with chairbacks in the center, hospitality suites up top. 6k seats in phase one.
and approximate full build out to 25k

There will also be kegs and eggs hosted in that section before every 1PM game. True story.
Sponsored by Bogies....at WT's Stadium at Bob Ford Field.
I like where we're going with this.
And the TU might even send a reporter...
LOL...no, by then the ASP will have exclusive rights to UA newspaper coverage.

They need to scrap that website and put up a new one...I know everything costs money but that is bar non one of the worst D1 website on the plant. Clearly an intern somewhere did it, if by chance it was put together by a "professional" well that's a terrible job and we got robbed.
Agreed, horrible. Looks like it was thrown together using GeoCities, circa 1998. It's cluttered with advertising too.

Just wanted to say congrats on joining the CAA. I look forward to the battle of the purple and gold.
Hope we can get a North/South rivalry going. DUKES v. DANES!!

Someone's been spending time doing some serious thinking here! Stadium goin up! Look at that dirt!
Looks like a mini stadium already.
It doesn't matter where the sun is when I'm sitting in the stands watching the Danes play Delaware
with 7k people other people.
F***K YEAH!

Thanks for posting those pics! Liberty Terrace looks awesome. The university is doing a great job with all of these campus improvements.
One of the areas that needs the improvement the most is the podium/main fountain area...I'm so glad they are redoing that entire part of campus, new windows, new and improved fountain etc.
Agreed....it's a nice upgrade too. I like how they're putting greenery in the corners:
Lots of pics of the ongoing construction at this site. It's pretty extensive!

Is the rec field 100% completed? If so, can someone post a few pics?

Once the foundation is laid I'm guessing it will go up pretty quickly.
On a side-note, Texas > *
(this is a high-school stadium!)

Video of the press conference is up on UAlbanysports.com for those who couldn't catch it live at work (like me).
I have to say, I was grinning ear to ear watching the video. This is such a huge step forward for us, and to have accomplished this in such a relatively short amount of time is HUGE. We were Division 3 when I attended UA 15 years ago and I always knew we could be so much more. To actually see it happen is just. friggen. AWESOME!

Me neither.
Probably b/c I don't give McElroy credit for this move.
why not?
-
woot woot!
Mad props to McElroy. I know we give him $iena here often but he deserves serious credit for positioning UA for this HUGE jump. Under Bob Ford's leadership, I can't wait to see us seriously kick some major ass in this conference. Nothing would bring me greater joy than to see us hand JMU a serious defeat on our field or theirs (yes, I've been following the threads on their CAA Zone board...nice work danefan and D96 representing).

tired of looking at dirt. lets get some concrete and steel up in that bish

Football only I grew up near Hofstra and saw what happened when they jumped to the CAA in all sports. The AE is a perfect fit given our finances and facilities. Unfortunately I doubt the AE is going to last much longer. I wouldn't be shocked after SBU bolts for the CAA that we either leave and join either a hybrid AE/CAA or AE/NEC.
please for the love of god, no NEC!

BOOM
PS- there is a Groupon up today for this site so save some $$ while you're at it

When does work on the new track & field area begin?
-
If true, the CAA became suddenly less apealing
-
So Brutus, when are we joining the CAA?
What's CAA?
no need to be coy here, Brutus.

DEC officials shot a black bear in the woods near SEFCU Arena this morning.
Let that be a warning to Maine teams, and their fans!

Ha, well hopefully we can keep with tradition.
On another note, Tribal. What's the deal with posting on CAAZone? I signed up and activated my account, but cant post anything. Emails to the site admin have been ignored.
