The donation required for buying tickets is not deductible under the new tax law.
It is still deductible - it is just that the standard deduction is much higher so many fewer people will itemize. They have already been accepting donations at the same levels as last year. Let’s see what comes out on Monday.

It's not a technical question I don't think...they haven't invoiced as nothing shows up to renew meaning that they haven't released the invoices for payment. Most likely due to the fact that they can't figure out the accounting side of this due to exemption status change when new tax laws took effect.
What “exemption status change” are you talking about? The new tax law has zero to do with accounting on the part of Athletics. Tickets should be on sale for the general public by now. The first home game is a little more than 3 months away. Benson has been a bust on professionalizing this part of the Department. The schedule has been out for months, the deadline to renew should have been set so any nonrenewed seats can go to new buyers. This is the time to sign up groups for games and sell new season tickets. It’s not accounting, it’s incompetence and ineptitude.

Team is at 12 players now, including the 2 incoming frosh. 3 schollies open - we are losing a lot in Mac and Emma. I expect Coach Mullen to have this team ready to compete this year. The job will be much more difficult than it was for Coach Mac. There is no Imani Tate or even Jess or T-Jo. There are a lot of very good players left and it appears that only Heather and Chyanna will graduate next year. The future is bright.

Question for Saturday. Are we likely to hit traffic for the Cape on Saturday morning on 495?
Cape Cod traffic should not be a big issue on Saturday morning. Friday evening traffic on the other hand should be wicked messy.

Looks to be true... Tripcic is a big loss.
What do you see on her Twitter? The only thing I saw was a retweet congratulating her sister Madison who committed to Bryant.

this is very early - but a GREAT start

I'm STILL mad about Nano.
We have a running joke/game with my wife. Every time we drive by UA on 90/87 and see the Nano building, the first person to say, "You know, that building was stolen from UA" wins the game lol. Where is that Kaloimaloser guy? Err, I mean Kaloyeros.
He is about to go on trial and then off to prison

Perhaps, we should look east to Saco, ME .... perhaps someone has unfinished business at UAlbany .... might return ... can dream here for a moment...
I can say with confidence that Mari has zero interest in that scenario.

Interesting that Yvonne Hawkins was the interim coach at BC
I saw that too - I'll bet most posters on this board have no idea who Yvonne is

BC just updated their webpage - she is the new head coach

You guys can put whatever spin you want on this but it is crushing to the program....and sends a terrible message to potential targets. Not only did we lose our top four scorers from last year (and most importantly our two highest scorers), but we lost a guy in Cremo who was the antithesis of the player you want on this team - a relentless worker and a guy who seemed to bleed purple. Devastating....
Not sure you mean antithesis -
a person or thing that is the direct opposite of someone or something else.

I heard they cremo and Nichols did not get along. Like at all. So I'm a little surprised both are leaving. But like many have said, cant cry about it. Just need to move on.
They were roommates for 3 years

So I know David was super smart and graduated with his BA in 3 years and transferring would be as a grad transfer.
Anyone know about Joe, will he also graduate with his BA in 3 years...and is his transfer also as a grad student?
According to Wyland - Joe is transferring as a grad student

Hopefully there are not any more shockers coming. I agree with the comparison to Logan. Remember what happened after he left - we can only hope.

The women have played some great basketball out of conference. The only game they werent really in at the end was Maryland ( first game of season ). Could have beaten St Johns. If they continue playing as well as they can it should be another trip to the big dance. The frosh are excellent.

A chat with Danes hoops coach Bernabei-McNamee
For Sarge965:
Q: The other night, in the Albany Cup game with Siena, you got T'd up. Is that your first technical foul at Albany?
A: Yeah. I don't think I got one during my first year.
Q: What did you do?
A: Nothing. He (referee) is a very sensitive man (laughs). I said 00 (Mackenzie Trpcic) just got shoved out of bounds.
That is amazing - I would be thrown out of every game.

Question some of the numbers or methodology. We spend more than all of the Ivies? (Cornell < $800K)
They do not technically give athletic scholarships so the grants that the athletes receive do not count in the sports budget.
-
I'd like to now Stokes's status. She hasn't dressed in a while. Did I miss an announcement about this/
I thought I remember seeing something that she was injured and out until the start of conference play? Not 100% sure though.
She may be redshirting - will be determined in January. She had surgery (I believe back) in the offseason.

Atrocious. I stayed until the middle of the 4th when it looked like they were mounting a mini-comeback until those two huge drops and then the TD to seal the win.
You stayed long enough to make an appearance on the BIG SCREEN
