A 2-0 victory, outshooting the Indianettes 22-2.

 

I've seen a commercial on TV-13, shows Dane athletes from various sports facing the camera and saying 'I play for you, Albany' (or UAlbany?), followed by a plug for the football game and fireworks. Not a bad pun, and at least an attempt to plant the idea that we're the local team. Let's hope it helps Saturday's crowd.

Too bad the percentage of local athletes on teams outside of football is slim to none. Track gets some local kids too if I recall. Soccer might as well put a commercial on in Eastern Europe, Africa and South America.

 

They could just as easily be saying We Play for You, LahngIsland and it would ring true.
