Good news for the Volleyball team

According to the UAlbany Athletics website, the volleyball team signed two good players recently. One is an all-state player from Virginia and both happen to be at least 6ft tall, addressing one of the main factors of seperation between our team and the national powerhouses, that of height.

 

Blair Buchanan also just earned Honorable Mention for the All-American NCAA Volleyball team in addition to her AE and All-Northeast Region nods. This is ALL as she is only a SOPHMORE. Next year we will have the NCAA all-time service ace leader, a former AE Rookie of the year, and an All-American Honorable Mention player...NOT BAD!

These two girls are some serious athletes. Keeping up w/ building a strong program, both girls are on full rides. If I am correct, I think we signed a setter (I remember reading that on Rkern) but I am not sure if she is on a ride.

 

Prince George county is right where UMaryland is. It is affectionately known as PeeGee and has some ridiculous high school athletes. I wonder if Kamisha got looks from UM, UD, UVA, etc. Actually both girls I am curious about. By the way....looks like our recruiting from VA is starting to pick up. This is what, the fourth or fifth VA recruit in recent years. Very fertile area!

Towson, American, Marlyand, Ga. State...these are big time schools in the sport.\

 

Great high school website. Kamisha is No. 12....and she ain't short!
