U Albany vs Hampton

I heard that this game may not take place. Does anyone have any information about whether this is true or not? If it is true, has Albany rescheduled an opening day opponent?

yeah were not playin em because of florida a&m...they were going to go 1-A but didnt have enough money so they are still in MEAC...were playing Maine instead during the season, opener i believe is hofstra

Florida A&M released their 2005 schedule last year, including a full MEAC slate and playing Hampton in November, unless they've changed something since then. Hampton hasn't listed their schedule yet.

 

Heard we were negotiating with Maine for a long-term contract, but I haven't heard anything about this year.

 

Saturday's Times-Union says the new stadium will need a LOT of private fundraising before it's started - UAlbany stadium is not a top priority

 

I did hear at the tournament that they still have to bid for the artificial turf for the field hockey/lacrosse complex, but expect to break ground about May 1, still should be finished by the start of the season this Sept.
