Any news on the Lacrosse Field?

Anyone know anything about when they start to get this going. They mentioned in the TU Today about Marr saying thy love the facility, but cant wait till they have their field next year. Anyone know what the name of the field will be, or when they plan on starting this thing up and ripping up the courts?

This is response I got to same query:

 

 

"the bid for the actual construction contract is in the contract recorder, and I believe it has a deadline of April 10, maybe 15th. For the time being, trees are being removed, basketball hoops are being taken down. I have heard that they are going to leave the existing fence up for now to help define the construction area".

It will probably be after May 1 before heavy construction starts, maybe even waiting until after graduation, if they think the field hockey pitch can still be ready by September.

 

I thought Clough Harbour was the overall general contractor.
