Thrower out for the year

Announcement on the main athletic's page has Coach Patterson saying that Tanika Thrower will miss the remainder of the season because of the concussion/broken nose that she suffered against Siena. It didn't specifically say she would red-shirt this year, but I assume that's what it is? Definitely a big hit to a season that already doesn't look promising at all.

She played in six games this year which I think is the max to still redshirt. Hopefully she makes a full recovery and comes back strong next year. There's a story about here redshirting in today's TU. Thrower redshirted-Times Union
