Hi all thought I would give you an update on the UA Crew team's weekend. We had yet another strong weekend of competition. The Men's Novic 8 came in second place at this weekend's Metro Area Regatta Championship at Orchard Park NY. The Novic Men came from behind with 500 meters to go and beat Fairfield, Binghamton took first place. The novic women made it to the finals and finished in sixth place. On the varsity side the women were unfortunitly handicapped this week by injuries to the women's four, despite a hard week they made it to finals and finished fifth. The Men squad was also impacted by injuries however pulled it together both boats made the finals however finished 4th Lightwight, and 5th Heavywight. It was a successful day despite dealing with injuries, the UA Crew team will compete next weekend at Whitney Point near Binghamton at the NYS Sprint Championships, where we hope to give a strong showing against fully funded Athletic Varsity teams such as Ithaca, Army, Marist, Buffalo (women) and others.
