Won't Stop Iati Time

The NCAA Rules Committee has approved moving back the 3-point line to 20 feet, 9 inches, yet the change will only be for the mens' game. ESPN posits, among other things, that this will mean two different lines will have to be painted on the court (including, of course, UAlbany's court at the "Q"):

" . . . most of the time lines are put on the courts only one time. The cost of changing the lines on courts across the country is the main reason the distance won't be in place until 2008-09. " http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2859065.

Right..and next year (07-08) is Iati's last season.

I know, I just added the post about the playing season when the change goes into effect. The article speculates that post play will be improved and the low post will be cleared out somewhat. Anyone have thoughts as to how this might affect our team/conference generally, if at all?

20 feet, 9 inches? Why can't it just be 20 feet 6 inches (6.25 meters) like the international 3-point line? I guess it's the same reason we're using feet and inches...sheesh.
