We are off to a 5-2 start. We are getting better and more accustomed to playing with each other. Our defense and rebounding has been fairly consistent. Our biggest weakness defensively is a lack of constant communication. Offensively we have struggled to consistently make perimeter shots. The Bryant game is a prime example. It had to be painful for a fan to watch. However, if you don't make shots you have to find a way to win the game. Nobody in our program is concerned with style points. We are concerned with winning basketball games. We settled for jump shots and 20 3's attempted is too many for this team. Especially since two of our better three point shooters are not in uniform (Lindfors and Aronhalt). We've done a good job on the offensive glass which has allowed us to get some easy baskets and get to the free throw line.

Our next game is against Siena at the Times Union Center. The atmosphere is always great. I was wondering how many non BCS rivalry games draw anywhere near 14,000? The energy in the building is off the charts. We will have our hands full against a very talented, quick, and athletic Siena team. I have been very impressed with the tape that I have watched. They are an experienced and confident group. The tempo that they play at has caused major problems for teams. We need a good week of preparation.

It is nice to see that our conference has improved this season. Our RPI is up at this point and we have won a lot more games this non conference season compared to a year ago. Hopefully we can all keep it up! .
