MLL Roster Expansion news

Recommended Posts

The MLL in late October announced that it was adding two new rules for the 2009 season. The MLL would allow a 4th long stick midfielder and that teams could now dress 19 players for a game. Because of this, the MLL's annual Supplemental Draft has some more importance. Many UA players were taken and it seems that the NJ Pride is the franchise for the Danes...

Drafted in the Supplemental Draft (held this past week)

Steve Ammann, NJ Pride, 1st round (5th overall)

Liam Gleason, NJ Pride, 2nd round (15th overall)

Michael Ammann, NJ Pride, 5th round (45th overall)

Craig McDonald, Rochester Rattlers, 5th round (50th overall)

Current MLL Players who attended UA

NJ Pride - S. Ammann, M. Ammann, Liam Gleason, Merrick Thomson, Jordan Levine

LI Lizards - Frank Resetarits

Rochester Rattlers - Brett Queener, Craig McDonald

Also, Brett's brother Brice was selected and will join his brother in Rochester. It should be noted that even though they are on the teams now, it does not mean they will remain come the start of the season. All the teams rosters are currently at 30 players, so cuts are to come.
