Possible Opening for Albany in CAA Football looming?

URI just announced the sudden resignation of their new Head Football Coach to become Special Teams coach of the Miami Dolphins.

Now maybe he just realized what he is up against in a very competitive league where URI has been a perennial doormat.........but pretty odd timing 2 weeks after signing his first recruiting class......and this resignation comes with looming budget cuts. Vermont just axed baseball and softball. Could URI football be next?

I think the CAA would be more inclined to sitback and hope someone else dropped football as well so they dont have to deal with the headaches a 14 team league will give.

If no one else dropped football though, Albany certainly would be a great addition.
