  1. I was there and it was truly a great effort by Albany. Haney was killer in the 1st half and basically was the difference maker tonight. Maine missed way too many bunnies. Crowd and atmosphere was terrific....Maine is a special place for women's hoops. Good luck in the NCAA Tourney!
  2. Local news station preview from a Maine POV .... https://www.foxbangor.com/bangor-local-sports/breakdown-of-fridays-america-east-championship-game-between-maine-and-albany/
  3. Great comeback today! Congrats.😀 Stony Brook fans making excuses left and right about how all of their teams are sucking due to the AE tourney ban. Cue the violins....that type crap won't play well over in the CAA.
  4. Maine opens at LSU this weekend so looks like both the Danes and Black Bears will have their hands full with ranked SEC opponents. AE Baseball was actually pretty decent last year with none of the teams having truly "bad" seasons.....the league's RPI was middle of the pack which is GREAT for baseball. With Stony Brook not eligible.....the league tourney should be really fun and unpredictable. The AE Tourney will be in Orono this season....I was reading that the prior tourney held in Orono got high marks from coaches and administrators. Maine always hosts great post-season events (when they can get them). Locals are always supportive and visiting fans are always treated well. Hope to see some of you there.....the weather should be fantastic by late May.....Bar Harbor/Acadia only an hour away as a side trip!
  5. 64 points looked very nice tonight.🙂 Maine played their best game of the season....Albany played tough but not quite good enough on this night. Cooper is quite a talent and Haney is also very smooth. 2 very talented sophomores. Maine is young as well.....I have a feeling that these 2 programs are going to be in some heated battles over the next couple of years. Re-match in Albany in a couple of weeks!
  6. Winning would motivate fans to come to your games....no matter what league you are in.
  7. I've suggested Albany, Maine, UNH and Vermont to the Patriot across multiple forums. In "normal" times this would be a non-starter......but in these times with big NCAA changes coming.....I think anything is possible. Listen to Dane96...he knows his stuff. So what do you guys think of this Patriot League scenario and would any of you consider leaving CAA Football for this set-up if this were a possibility?..... 8. It's been dreadful for years now.....at least you don't have to watch it every week.✌️
  9. It was UGLY down in Newark. You guys shouldn't have to many problems winning this one.....we looked BAD.
  10. Early forecast for next Saturday in Orono.....partly sunny and 36. Not bad....let's hope that it holds. Congrats on the win! I love it when UNH loses.😀
  11. It's gonna be a wild finish.....about 8 teams currently vying for 2-3 at-large bids. One thing overlooked by Albany fans.....Maine has been on fire with their new freshman QB Fagnano who replaced the injured Ferguson (thank god!). Fagnano's stats for 3.5 games: 63-95 (66.32%), 1116 yards, 12 TD, 2 INT
  12. Who won? I turned if off when Albany was leading by 16 in the 3rd Q.
