  1. Albany holds the keys to the city right now. Either you move to the CAA for all sports....which I think happens IF W&M stays.....or you remain in AE. I think that if W&M goes to the SoCon or Patriot.....the remaining CAA schools scatter to the wind. AE would be in a position to possibly grab NU/Drexel/Hofstra if they want to remain a hoops only league.....or StonyBrook/Monmouth/Towson if they want to sponsor football. I'm not sure that Northeastern or Stony Brook would even want to return to AE but the way things are moving....you never know.
  2. Anything yet? I feel like Albany is shooting for the MAC or another FBS conference down the road. Obviously a massive investment in athletic facilities would go a long way toward realizing that goal.
  3. I think that the Big Atlantic Conference would have been cool with the tagline.....We've Got Your BAC.
  4. Wow....what a finish this is shaping up to be. Question why does Albany play so well against Maine and struggle against crap teams?....lol.
  5. I sincerely hope that Albany and Maine go undefeated the rest of the way until they meet in the final game of the season in Orono. Guessing that game will be a sellout.
  6. Yeah I know that. What is best for the fans doesn't necessarily match up with that is best for the student-athletes and the bottom line. The 6pm start times seem to be an easy fix though.
  7. Honestly 3 or 4pm starts on Thursdays would almost be better than 6pm which messes with people's dinner hours too much. I'd like to see them go back to 7pm. Don't really care when games start on Saturdays....although I really dislike 12 noon start times. I miss the Wednesday - Sat/Sun schedule.
  8. Hopefully I did the title of this thread right. Both teams come in at 5-0 in AE. Hopefully a decent crowd shows up.....the lack on interest on here doesn't fill me with hope.
  9. Dang....are you guys that good? Maine beat Vermont 60-48 yesterday in Orono. I think that your Danes are the team to beat.....Vermont has taken a step back IMO.
