It's gonna be a wild finish.....about 8 teams currently vying for 2-3 at-large bids. One thing overlooked by Albany fans.....Maine has been on fire with their new freshman QB Fagnano who replaced the injured Ferguson (thank god!). Fagnano's stats for 3.5 games: 63-95 (66.32%), 1116 yards, 12 TD, 2 INT

I'm glad that this "bad" Maine team beat your "good" Albany team.

What happened at Vermont? -
Watched the game. Your D is impressive. Maine's record might not that great....but the Black Bear offense can be a high octane machine & you held them in check. Maine's offense will be national championship caliber over the next couple of seasons. Your offense is terrible. Opponents have been lighting up Maine's secondary. While our D-line is pretty sturdy up front, we can be burned on big plays.....I really felt comfortable that Albany wasn't up to the task in that regard. Good luck the rest of the way & get a couple of upset wins!

I was at the game.....a few observations: *Albany was lucky to still be in the game at the end. Maine should have been up by double digits, but they kept shooting themselves in the foot. *Maine has a QB with a big arm and a few BIG TIME receivers. Maine might have the best/deepest receiving corp in the CAA.......that was the major advantage for Maine. * Very impressed with Albany's tenacity.......they played hard the entire game. I don't think that Albany had as much overall team speed as Maine did. *Attendance......Maine had about 7K actually in the stands and another 5K in

2016-17 Men's Basketball Schedule

Is/was the Albany FH team scheduled to play a return game @ UNC this season? Also....good thing that Albany and Stony Brook were not scheduled to play @ Elon this season. That would have affected conference scheduling. -
If only that were the case, Bob. Last season, Maine and Albany split and were 14-2 in AE.........non-conference RPI was used as the tie-breaker......not the fact that Maine went 2-0 vs. #3 Stony Brook while Albany went 1-1 vs. the Seawolves. But whatever.......if Queen Amy & her court think that computer rankings based on non-conference competition is a better way to break a tie than records vs. other teams in AE then so be it.
-
Non-conference RPI determines the regular season champ, #1 seed and home court advantage. Great system! I wonder how Albany fans would feel if Maine had the RPI advantage......and let's say the teams had split with Maine winning by 1 point and Albany winning by 30.......???

Did they show it?

So how many are in Albany's travel party?......they won't fit on this American Airlines plane? http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/American_Airlines/American_Airlines_ERJ-175_MCE.php I see 64 seats available not including first class.

Someone named Issac Vann returned for Maine. He had been out for over a month. No one knows him yet but you will.
