Mr Hyde Positive PostGame Prognosis for SBU

 

A lot of good stuff in there, especially defensively. Was nice to see the guards chip in on the glass in a big way- not just long rebounds.

 

One thing I did realize though, our "Prevent Defense" Offense is almost a mirror image of what a good defense team does to us. Look at Wagner. They forced us further and further from basket and we only made side to side perimeter passes. Well the same thing happens when we try to slow down the game. And then Timmy is coming off a screen that everyone can see a mile away and the pass is too long and if he does catch it he's try to dribble with his back to the basket out of a double team and it gets taken away. Every pass in our offense becomes more and more difficult. Hopefully we stay aggressive (one thing Watts does very well I must say, he gets into the lane, even if he wasn't hitting, but he's forcing the issue and threatening the defense)
