Baseball getting noticed

Albany (9-3)

Best win: vs. Missouri, vs. Evansville, at UNC-Asheville

The Great Danes of the America East conference pulled off a nice win against the Tigers at the Battle at the Beach Blast Tournament and then beat the team that beat Florida State (UNC-A) also. Like most Northeast teams last week, they've had trouble getting in games, as five straight have been postponed. Maine could have something to worry about in AmEast play.

Here is a quote from College Baseball Insider:

"Tell you what, in fairness to those who deserve it, let's just take a deep breath and say that Albany (sweeping four from Yale), Fordham (5-0, sweep of Dayton), Temple (three-game sweep of La Salle), Notre Dame (sweep at West Virginia to open Big East play), Pittsburgh (sweep at Virginia Tech), Villanova (5-0), William and Mary (three-game sweep of improved Delaware), Columbia (winning 3 of 4 from Penn after a 2-11 start), Central Connecticut State (4-1), Princeton (taking 3 of 4 from Stony Brook), Clemson (4-1, sweep of Wake Forest), Central Florida (key series win over Stetson) and just about every series winner in the SEC, especially those who went on the road and won, like Florida (at Kentucky), Ole Miss (at Alabama) and Auburn (at Tennessee), deserve accolades for a week well done."
