Jeff Sagarin starting ratings are out. Albany at 174 (of 247), just ahead of Rhode Island and Colgate. Also ahead of FBS Texas State, Texas-San Antonio, and Akron. With home field factored, we're about 10 down to Youngstown, 13 to Maine.

Conference Ratings have NEC at 22nd, ahead of MEAC, SWAC, and Pioneer. CAA is 12th, tops in FCS. Albany is 5 1/2 better than Duquesne, with the rest of the NEC trailing. We'd be last to next year's CAA teams, unless Rhody stays.

As always, ratings will change drastically once actual results begin to be factored in.
