Nice ceremony before the game except for the banner unveiling issue. As UAlum72 said, it's probably better to raise a banner than it is to try and unfurl one.

 

As for the game, I knew we'd miss Callaway and Jones early on but I wasn't sure how much. Last night we missed them a lot. The press didn't look nearly as formidable without them and we were pretty disorganized on offense much of the time. Coach Abe found all the right buttons last year and I'm sure she'll find them this year but our back court looks like it's going to be a work in progress early on.

 

On the bright side, Shereesha Richards looked pretty good for a freshman in her first game. 7 points, 5 boards and a couple steals.
