KC Keeler fired from Delaware

Recommended Posts

A national championship and two recent title game appearances isn't enough for some CAA schools.

Just goes to show you the expectations in this conference.

Their attendance is down 15% over the past few years, tho it's hard to say how much of that is the coach's fault, besides not winning enough.

Their fans were calling for his head the year after the championship (when we were beating them).

There's gotta be more to this story. How do you fire a guy with a decent record and 5 years left on a $300k per year contract? Also in the middle of recruiting season.

They did just hire a new AD who started with about 3 weeks left in the football season.

HIs comments in an article this morning were basically he needed time to evaluate the program and despite the negatives of timing with recruiting he still thought it best to make a definitive decision once his review was completed.

Delaware is expected to announce today that they will hire Dave Brock as the new Head Coach.

Brock is currently the offensive coordinate at Rutgers.

This is the type of hire we should be talking about as a possibility at UA once Ford retires. A BCS or top FBS level coordinator.
