Hough, Thomson, Magrass, Wyland Take Home Baseball Honors

Maine’s Joe Hough (West Roxbury, Mass./Catholic Memorial) has been named America East baseball's Player of the Week, while Northeastern senior Jordan Thomson (Ottawa, Ontario/Vaughn Road) receives Pitcher of the Week honors. Vermont's Miguel Magrass (West Roxbury, Mass./Salisbury) and Steve Wyland (Stratford, N.J./Sterling) of Albany share Rookie of the Week accolades. The awards were announced Monday (May 17).

Wyland went 5-for-11, including a game-winning hit, in the weekend series versus Maine. He went 3-for-4 and drove in both runs in his team’s, 2-1, victory in game one against the Black Bears. He lined a two-out RBI single to center field in the top of the ninth to put the Great Danes ahead 2-1.
