For Syracuse University, the change by LeMoyne College may have similarities when UAlbany went Division One and Siena College had to deal with scheduling games with UAlbany.

Le Moyne is officially going DI.

The long-rumored move became official Wednesday after the university released a statement. The athletics department’s 21 NCAA teams — including the men’s and women’s lacrosse teams — will elevate to DI starting the Fall 2023 season. The athletics programs will join the Northeast Conference.
