A story in the TU mentioned that former Albany runner Rob Caracciolo is running for Equitorial Guinea. He was supposed to run the steeplechase but I think they've switched him to the 1500 meters.

His first race isn't until next weekend. He's keeping a weblog and updating it pretty frequently. It sounds like he's having a good time and using this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to try and pick up some Russian gymnists and rub shoulders with Yao Ming. Here's his weblog.
