I spent the second half wondering why UA didn't just direct-snap to Ibi and Rodgers and replace Sussman with an additional blocker.
-
From a conversation I had with Gattuso at halftime.
Me: Can I see a reverse?
GG: Ehhhh, maybe.
Me: How about a double reverse.
GG: No way.
Me: A screen pass?
GG: No.
Me: A bootleg?
GG:No.
Me: A naked bootleg?
GG: No.
Me: A slant?
GG: No.
Me: A flea flicker? A jump pass? The Statue of Liberty?
GG: No. No. And no.
Me: What about a sack? How about a blocked field goal? Or a faked field goal?
GG: No across the board.
Me: Well, then, what can I get?
GG: You'll get vanilla and like it... and don't forget to donate.
Me: Uhhhh, sure thing coach?

Miss one long pass downfield then take a knee Gattuso....(psychic prediction)

Hope you don't like any flavor in your ice cream!

Sorry I won't be able to see this game, so good luck to the Dane's QBs, got something else going on.
FIFY
GG has (mostly) compiled a very impressive staff, and because he sees all the players every practice Sussman very well may be the best option right now.
For me, though, this staff has always been a little too conservative (stubborn even) for my tastes.
Sussman is definitely tough, but as we all have seen, he has accuracy issues. GG thinks he will grow into the position, and that he has a high ceiling, but he needs to consider that he also has a very low floor. A 45% completion rate should only go up over time, but it is still way too low seven games into the second year, and only a little better than his 40% completion rate in 10 games last year. Are we hoping he gets to 50% and that will justify the staff's faith in him or is it time to stop the losing streak and try something different?
I vote for change...but I usually do!

Crook has had his time for the game to slow down.
Sussman...my issue has less to do with his mental make-up. He seems to be poised and in control. His accuracy is a whole other story. He is missing receivers in a big way, more often than not.
He's the Ricky Vaughn of FCS football.

That was BRUTAL... Nothing left but to play out the string.
It's a great night to be at The Casey to watch some soccer...

We are just about ready to smash em in the mouth, where are you going?Lol, promptly goes 3 and out...
And with that and the weather clearing...Haggy OUT!
Turns out the weather still sucks as much as the UA offense. So, how did the smashmouth football turn out?

What sucks is the fact that we don't actually GET TO SEE BRUNSON.
]
What sucks even more is that we are still stuck with an OC that happened to be his HS head coach.
-
The way I see this season: We still have a chance at the playoffs if we can put it together. The only way we put it together is by throwing the football. We know Crook and Sussman can't compete at this level. So at this point, roll the dice...throw the ball 30 times a game.
At the end of the year we will know if we have a QB that we can build on next season, or we don't. If we make the playoffs...great, we are ahead of schedule.
If not, and Brunson does pick it up...well, you have three more seasons with the kid...and it usually takes 18-24 months to really have the game slow down for QB's.
Agreed...fingers crossed...although I still think UA is too conservative their offensive play-calling in general.
-
That was promising... Ends in a mess... Lol
Seriously, gg has one job for next year... Find a qb
Guys...that is his first series...as a 19 year old. Relax. The kid was a top player in one of the best football producing States in the country. The coaching staff did him ZERO favors on that series.
My comment about his first throw was in jest, although it didn't show his arm strength.
With that said, he can go 0 for 30 and I won't care, because GG finally stopped being stubborn in the face of a losing situation.

Has this season degraded to the point where the only cheers I can make are for the punter....again???
I'll breathe, and step away, but the rain doesn't make that possible.
-
Did you see that 3rd down pass? Pull Brunson and put Sussman back in!

BRUNSON IN THE HOUSE!

Sussman isn't to blame here. He either has had no time to throw...or no open receivers.
Now can we try something else? Anything else. That pass his 5 yards high.

Ok...where is the link that you guys are watching from.
I went to the last one that haggy posted....and you have to login?!?!
http://ifirstrowus.eu/watch/477958/2/watch-albany-vs-villanova.html
Link 2 seems good right now...except for the football it is showing.

I'm having trouble scrounging for free links (http://ifirstrowus.eu/watch/477958/2/watch-albany-vs-villanova.html, link 2 seems to work, Eli.)
And Sussman might not be causing the loss (this game) but he certainly hasn't inspired any confidence all season that he will be responsible for the win.

If you can deal with the hideous pop-ups don't forget that you can get games here: http://ifirstrowus.eu/watch/477958/1/watch-albany-vs-villanova.html
Link 1 is dead it seems, or too cluttered with ads to even open and link 2 says the event will start soon.
Also, for the non-techies....Google Chrome + Adblock Plus plugin = most ads gone.
Try here: http://www.vipbox.nu/american-football/426380/1/albany-at-villanova-live-stream-online.html
You can both watch and listen to Sussman play poorly.

Here's an RB tearing up Western PA and getting no FBS love, but with an offer from UA as of 10/15/16:

Australians for the basketball team...
Austrians for the football team?...
Lineman recruit from Vienna: http://www.americanfootballinternational.com/young-austrian-defensive-lineman-maxi-hradecny-headed-to-major-us-college/
"They will be making stops at Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Indiana, UMASS, Albany, Temple, Purdue, Miami and Florida State, among others."
Now that is the company I want to recruit with; No word on if he has a friend that can throw the ball.

Villlanova favored by 6 1/2 by Massey, by 7 1/2+ by Sagarin.
Don't forget to add in the home-field advantage when using Sagarin!: 55.68 - 48.39 + 2.42 = 9.71
