At first I was extremely disappointed by how much we lost by. I know I may have rose colored glasses on but I am expecting this team to be very very good . However an exhibition loss like this may drive home coach Brown's message and really make the players focus on what they need to do.

    Only time will tell.

I think you need to look at the competition not just our team. WVU voted 2nd behind Kansas in the Big 12 preseason poll. They are 10th in the USA Today Coaches preseason poll. They play a tenacious press that will be better than ANY we see in the regular season. Be concerned about the fouls picked up by Nichols and Clark, not the margin of defeat. WVU should be competing for a national championship we have no shot at that.

I agree. But very good midmajor teams will not lose by 30+ to a top 10 team . Again I know it was an exhibition, but that's all I was saying. I am optimistic for a very good year .
  2. I just meant that I would believe Stire, Charles, Foster are ahead of him for playing time. Also Champbell could play some power forward this year. We have Hanks and Conway as well.

I hope that he is okay and does not miss any time, but with 3 seniors it would not be the worse thing for a redshirt .

Talked to an assistant coach during the summer and he talked about possible red shirts for a front court player. That's all I was getting at.

  3. I have a funny feeling SEFCU is about to be renamed. 100% all gut no source but this reminds me of when the football stadium was named.

Maybe...but I don't think so . The owner of stuyvensant plaza donated the money for the scoreboard and I think this press conference is just about that, which is great !!!!

  4. I've recently read at least one article that named Healy a huge steal, and they picked him for ROY in the league.

    https://cbbcentral.com/2017/10/01/32-conferences-32-days-america-east/amp/

Anyone have any early info on predictions on the rotation? The team feels too deep at the moment.

I was thinking, the following, but does the above article change my thinking?

PG: Nichols / Clark / Anderson / Healy

SG: Cremo / Nichols / Cochran / Anderson

SF: Campbell / Cochran / Conway

PF: Charles / Foster / Conway / Lulka

    C: Stire / Hank

I was kind of predicting Healy and Lulka would redshirt because of the depth, but that may not be what happens.

Not to sound like a homer but I am really really excited about this team. Could be the best ever from top to bottom.

-Cremo and Nichols should be outstanding.

-Campbell was good last year and should really improve 2nd year D1.

-Cochran was suppose to be our best recruit last year and very athletic.

-Stire and Charles should be very solid returners down low.

-Clark seems like a very credible backup.

-Anderson did good things in limited minutes. Can hit free throws and the open 3.

    -Foster should really contribute.

-Conway looks very smooth and athletic for size.

-Hank looks like he is 30 years old . Haha . Hopefully plays like it.

-Lulka looks like a possible red shirt but def has skill and will contribute in his career .

-Healy is the toughest one for me . Looks like a great get but will he get enough minutes not to justify a red shirt . To me if Clarke can play and is on equal footing with Healy then a red shirt is probably the way to go . Cochran if he is ok coming back from injury should be good at the 2 spot so that does not leave a ton of minutes for Healy. If Healy is a freak great, if not I say let him get bigger and stronger for a year .

I'm sorry... WE NEED A QB... he is not the answer .... sorry ... we have a national championship type defense ... with a division 3 offense.... and it starts and ends with the QB...

He's been awesome last two games... Or at least making big strides. I'm not ready yet to dump him.
When u say awesome did u mean the 1 touchdown offense performance ??? Awesome is a very very strong word . I think u mean to say he managed the game and did not lose it for us. Awesome ?????
He was making a ton of throws. A few times he got them within striking distance and they ran the ball in. Look at his qbr and yards completion rate.

Only a simpleton judges strictly on td count. Question for you... Are you a simpleton?

If you mean "simpleton" as a person who knows that the team with more points wins the game, then YES...I am ..haha ... touchdowns, except for today :), wins games. He is not good . Is that the OC? I don't know.
