Marie Sepp transferred to a D-2 school in Missouri.

Nice article in a national publication about Jake Piseno:

By the way, saw that Jillian Huerter has entered the transfer portal. She played 25 minutes a game at Rutgers. I *think" Meaghan Huerter has another year of eligibility. Would be a fun sister act next year.
Jill Huerter transferred to Fairfield.
Also, Mary Grimes, an Assistant under Coach Abe during the program's best years is the new Head WBB Coach at Binghamton

Good riddance
I agree. I think they go into MAAC next year. Very poor decision by America East leadership to take them in for these 2 years.
Interesting aspect yesterday was that audio (outside of the announcer) was clearly from the UAlbany section.

I knew the money was taxable to the kids, my question is if a NIL collective fund, like a school endowment, would be tax deductible for the donations made to it. I guess probably not, as it wasn't a non-profit venture, but I'm willing to guess that it could be a non-profit venture supporting paying players for their appearance at charity events or something like that. There are always loopholes.
The income to the students is always going to be taxable.
Payments to a NIL Collective are not tax deductible unless the collective has 501(c)(3) status.

Deja Evans to Drexel. A significant loss, IMO.

My understanding is that for the 2024 season, the decision was made on a conference by conference basis and only the ACC and B1G opted to have review. The AE and everyone else opted not to have review, primarily because a lot of schools don't currently have the minimum number of cameras required. Everyone will be required to have the cameras and facilities for review in 2025.
On another subject, I hope the AE does not abandon ESPN+ for Lacrosse TV. IMO, Lacrosse TV coverage was awful; even worse than when UAlbany only had a camera and no audio.

When I left the Knick on 11/26, I vowed (to myself) not to complain about DK this season. My discipline is being tested. So, on other important topics:
What kind of promotion is a free chicken sandwich when the opponent misses a foul shot in the second half? Is this the kind of sportsmanship the conference with the transformative logo seeks to promote?
And, don't most colleges & professional teams give out black tee shirts when they call for a "blackout"?

I noticed the following paragraph in the TU game story:
“We’ve had some incidents obviously within the team,” Thomas said on a Zoom call afterward, “but we just have focus on what we have and what we can do, take each day game by game.”

Do you know if Scott was saying Whitney will be the stater for Saturday's scrimmage; OR was he predicting/announcing Whitney would be the starter this season??
And does this have anything to do with VanVaulkenberg's injury [supposedly he had an excellent World Tournament last summer??]
My impression was that Coach Marr said that Landon had won the starting goalie job and was speaking about the season. He said Landon was a Brett Queener type goalie. Jack Van Valkenberg suffered 2 injuries in the fall and another this semester which required surgery and will be unavailable for at least 4 weeks. Jack was the back-up goalie to Warren Hill on the Haudenosaunee Nationals in the 2023 World tournament.

A few things I heard from Coach Marr on Wyland's radio show:
1. There will be a scrimmage this weekend @ Cornell
2. Jake Piseno is the sole captain (altho there is a leadership group which includes Graydon Hogg)
3. Freshman Landon Whitney will be the starting goalie

At the MBB game last night, I thought I heard the announcer say that you had to buy 2 football season tickets to get the commemorative helmet, but, I have not seen this requirement in any of the written notices. Anyone have insight?

Not sure where to put this: Don Cohen '61 and UAlbany Hall of Famer passed away this morning. I think he may still hold a school rebounding record, but, I can't quickly find the appropriate site. Don could often be seen at MBB games in SEFCU Arena sitting in one of the back rows of Sec. 200. RIP.

Navy has a local player, Marin Lourides from Bethlehem Central, who played AAU with several members of our team.

Updated. Also, game is on SNY according to LIU's basketball schedule page. UA and ESPN don't list TV for this game.
SNY has Jets pre-game at 7 on Thursday

I might have missed this, but, does the NCAA now permit mens lacrosse programs to have 3 paid assistant coaches?
-
Only 9 players in uniform today and one freshman (Allberg) no longer on website roster.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of this.
It should be noted that the discount is off the ticket price only and not off the GDAC per seat requirement.

In the past, Roger was always around for the Saratoga Meet.
What a joke.
