Today
A chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 51. Southeast wind 9 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. -
Looks like a need for a thread as Grace Heeps and Morgan Haney and please correct me if I am wrong Kayla Cooper had entered the Transfer Portal.

Definitely the best effort game of the season. Would have one another game or two if we could have played with that kind of energy from start to finish.
I am hoping for the same urgency this weekend against Binghamton.

No one says anything here when they play well just when the don’t it’s very odd
Yes, UAlbany played well, actually played their hearts out; however, emotional disappointment. The referees seemed to know the importance of the game to Penn for an at-large bid in the NCAA Tournament and the referees were in no way going allow UAlbany to win this one.

Barring injuries, I see a starting five for the 2023-2024 team with the first two or three players off the bench. I believe the team is moving in the right direction, primarily due to the three portal players + Beagle, Reddish and Jackson. The incoming freshman are likely battling for playing time. Staying healthy is going to be important for this team.

Has anyone tried to put a rooster list together?
Is Aaron Reddish still with us?

Based on reading the Inside Lacrosse Bracketology article, Penn will be looking to match Yale's effort from last Friday evening. To stumble at this point for Penn will hurt their NCAA Tournament chances.
-
Based on a bracketology article on InsideLacrosse.com, the winner of the America East Tournament is likely one of the two lowest ranked teams in the NCAA Tournament thus facing a First Round Game. Right now, Bryant is higher ranked then Vermont, so if Vermont losses in the America East Tournament, the season is over for the Cats. Please believe me, I have no illusions that UAlbany can win the America East Tournament after what I have witnessed this season.

Yep, on the plus side, very good assist rate. Maybe he can develop even a bit of stroke to keep defense honest.
Hopefully, Sebastian can assist in lowering the turnover rate with great passes, now can the recipient of the pass handle the ball. We will see.

A Great Dane win 13-11 with a brawl as the game came to an end. From my view, completely caused by an unnecessary slashing event by a Merrimack player. Not only did it take the referrers and coaches, but it also took additional staff including Mark Benson, Vic Cegles and at least one University Police Officer to separate the players and coaches. Both head coaches exchange angry words from a distance and traditional post-game handshakes did not occur. Merrimack gather at one end of the field for an extended post-game discussion before vacating the field with the assistance of University Police.

Walked over to the softball field, a dejected Head Coach Chris Cannata told me Sunday's afternoon was cancelled as the field was unplayable and the rain would not stop in time to get the game in.
